Cynthia Metler
CEO
Cynthia has worked at Media Solutions for over 20 years as Partner and Founder. In her role as CEO, she manages the Sacramento Office. She works closely with clients and Media Solutions Account Teams to maximize the impact of advertising campaigns through a range of media platforms and media partners. She values the media partnerships and is passionate about the work we do at M&M Media Solutions.
In Cynthia’s extensive background working with state government agencies as well as coop groups. Cynthia has a special skill for making every member feel included in the decision-making process while relaying a singular cohesive message. She combines creative thinking and factual analysis to develop appropriate strategies to ensure all media campaigns reach their target audiences as effectively as possible.
Cynthia is a proud Sacramento State Hornet, holding a B.A. degree in Communications and Journalism.
When not at work Cynthia racks up frequent flyer miles visiting her oldest daughter in Los Angeles and her younger daughter in Bend, OR and finding places in between to wine taste with her husband.
Debi Giorchino
VP Client Services
Debi has over 30 years in the media industry, perfecting her media planning style and excellent negotiating skills. Her strength as a media strategist aids in the development and execution of media plans and placing media for a variety of clients throughout the country with an emphasis on media markets in California. She maintains the utmost professionalism and uses her insightful creativity when negotiating creative plans and marketing buys.
Her vast experience in negotiating, planning, and implementing state, public outreach, consumer advocacy and retail campaigns has been invaluable to all the projects she works with. She will work hand in hand with the media team to make sure the campaign we present and agree upon is being delivered with 100% accuracy.
Debi knows how to target unique and diverse populations – Over the years, the ways to reach people have grown and so has Debi. With her passion and knowledge to continually find her target audience whether with digital, multi-platform, social, OTT or terrestrial television, Debi is determined to pursue a successful campaign leveraging investment for bonus media.
When she is not working you will usually find Debi out on a trail with friends and her dogs or spending time with her husband and two sons.
Kelly Wheeler
Media Director
Kelly has fifteen years’ experience developing and executing marketing communications plans for national, regional, and local advertising campaigns. She began her career as a junior media planner for a telecommunications client at a large advertising agency. This is where she learned the essentials of an advertising campaign by collaborating with the creative and account teams to implement media strategies that best reach the target audience. She then realized her passion for the buying side of a campaign and became a Media Buyer at Media Solutions negotiating the most effective media buys for various campaigns. Next, she progressed into the role as media director.
As a media director she conducts quantitative and qualitative research to determine the lifestyle and media habits of the target audience. She collaborates with the account and creative teams to provide comprehensive media plans that meet the goals of each unique client. Then, she ensures the media plan is executed with the best media rates and includes added value to strengthen the advertising campaign.
She continues to develop and maintain strong relationships with the media vendors and stays informed on latest media trends. At the end of the day, her focus and passion are to ensure a successful media campaign for the client.
She has worked with a diverse clientele from retail to California State Accounts and non-profit organizations including: California Highway Patrol, CA Department of Public Health, CA State Treasurer’s Office, Department of Healthcare Services, CA Public Utilities Commission, Political Advocacy, MTI College, Oakmont Senior Living, Papa Murphy’s Pizza, One Community Health, Pfizer, Future Automotive Group, Goodwill and Grande Communications.
Kelly is a native Californian with a Bachelor’s of Communications. You can find her watching her kids play sports in her free time and being their personal driver.
Anna Schweissinger
Senior Account Executive
Anna started at Media Solutions in 2014. She brings over 15 years of experience in coordinating and delivering broadcast, digital, social media, and grassroots campaign efforts of government and non-government campaigns.
As Senior Account Executive, Anna oversees the day-to-day account activity, handling all client requests and coordinating research, recommendations, flowcharts, and reporting. She works hand in hand with project managers and media buyers, account coordinators, and accounting to ensure our client’s campaigns are being delivered with 100% accuracy.
Anna works across various accounts, including the California Department of Public Health and California Department of Health Care Services, and new business responses, including RFPs.
Before joining Media Solutions, Anna was Client Services Coordinator at iHeartMedia California Campaigns. She has worked on over 200 government and quasi-government campaigns, including the Caltrans, California Earthquake Authority, California Community Colleges, California Public Utility Commission, and Covered California.
Anna is a native Californian and a University of California, Davis graduate. She also serves on the Board of Directors at Homeward Bound Golden Retriever Rescue & Sanctuary and shares a home with her beloved foster dogs.
Karyn Meyer
Senior Account Executive
As a Senior Account Executive, Karyn works on all aspects of account management, including communicating the media planning and buying process with clients, answering client questions, leading client meetings, and managing media plans. Karyn currently oversees the California Department of Healthcare Services’ CalHOPE account, as well as the Governor’s Advisory Council for Physical Fitness and Mental Well-Being account. She has previously worked on many other accounts, including California Department of Healthcare Services’ MAT, California State Treasurer’s Office, MTI College, and Sacramento County Mental Health Services.
Karyn began working at Media Solutions in 2017. She has worked in the media buying and planning departments as well as account management, giving her valuable experience with all aspects of media buying. Prior to joining Media Solutions, Karyn spent a year and a half as an Assistant Account Manager at a business management firm in Los Angeles. This prepared Karyn for the world of media buying and planning by reinforcing her keen attention to detail and affirming her confidence in working with numbers.
Born and raised in Davis, Karyn has a B.S. in Biological Sciences from UC Santa Barbara. She enjoys spending time with her miniature poodle Buffy, and she also loves to travel and can’t wait until her next adventure!
Cindy Stewart
Office Manager
Cindy has an extensive background doing accounting for a variety of businesses. She has been with Media Solutions for 20 years handling all invoicing and billing for the company.
She is intimately familiar with SBMS’ invoice reconciliation tools and reviews every single invoice that goes through the agency to make sure that schedules run as originally placed and that no spots run outside of the day parts/times/dates purchased unless they are approved by the buyer responsible.
It is Cindy who collates the approved media vendor invoices and attaches to your invoice every month – if you ever want proof of what’s run it’s all neatly and accurately packaged with your invoice.
When she’s not working, she enjoys traveling, dancing, and spending time with her grandkids. She is their number one fan at their sporting events and theater presentations. Cindy also enjoys cooking and gardening.
Mira Patel
Project Manager
Mira Patel is known for taking a holistic approach to marketing. She knows it’s not just one thing that makes a campaign a success, but that it’s multiple aspects working in tandem and coming together to achieve your goals.
In her role as project manager, Mira will oversee all aspects of your campaign plan from buying the right media with the right message in the right location, to dutifully tracking and reporting results. She’ll bring team members together to review strategy and costs, and ensure the campaign is getting the results expected.
After graduating from San Francisco State University with a degree in business marketing, she originally joined Media Solutions as a project and media coordinator in July 2008. From there she worked with the Heise Media Group and then The Bakersfield Californian as the marketing manager.
In 2013 she launched her own business, Six23 Media, where she takes on the project manager role for clients, overseeing everything from web and graphic design, copywriting, public relations, social media planning and implementation, and media buying in traditional and digital platforms.
Recently, Mira rejoined the Media Solutions team again, project managing several client campaigns for Orange County Health Care Agency, San Joaquin County of Public Health and CalHope. She brings forth attention to detail, excellent communication skills, a comprehensive marketing background, and overall approach to project management making her an integral part of the Media Solutions team.
In her down time, Mira enjoys traveling and day-tripping around California with her husband and their young son.
Jamie Hay-Nurse, PMP
Account Executive / Project Manager
Jamie brings nine years of experience to her role as an Account Executive. Her background includes work in radio broadcasting, where she oversaw all promotional, digital, social media, and event activities for four stations. In addition to account management strengths, Jamie brings media planning and execution experience as well. At Media Solutions, she supports account planning and management for a diverse roster of clients, including the Department of Health Care Services, California Department of Public Health, Sacramento County Department of Health Services, and the City of Phoenix Water Services Department.
As a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Jamie demonstrates her organizational strengths and exceptional attention to detail. She manages project flowcharts and deliverables while communicating cross-team and with the client to ensure timely and cost-effective campaign success.
Jamie is a proud graduate of the Ohio State University where she received a B.A. in Communications. She is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute. In her spare time, Jamie enjoys going on walks with her Shih-Tzu, Memphis, and getting to the beach any chance she gets.
Steven Abramowitz
Account Supervisor
Steven joined Media Solutions in 2021 shortly after acquiring his B.S. in Business Administration (Marketing concentration). As an Account Supervisor, he has a supporting hand in every part of the media buying process, from planning and submitting media buys, to executing promotional activations, to organizing reports and research. He brings his eye for fine details, strong communication skills, and quick grasp of new tools and systems primarily to his main work on the CalHOPE campaign, but also assists on other campaigns including MAT.
Steven was born in New Jersey, grew up in California, and got his education at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts before returning to the Sacramento region to begin his career. When not on the job, he can be found traveling with his friends, playing music, or researching his favorite science topics.
Lorena Rey
Media Coordinator
Lorena has an extensive background in communication, PR, and marketing, for more than 10 years. She speaks Spanish and English. She has worked with many industries doing social media, and traditional media. She has a bachelor’s degree in social communication, an associate degree in broadcasting, and a master´s degree in Communication. She worked as a content leader for more than 5 years at Javeriana University in Colombia. Lorena loves teaching and has been a university professor in Colombia.
Lorena was born in Colombia, grew up in Bogotá, loves traveling has lived in New York, and visited many places in EE.UU and around the world. When not on the job, Lorena spends time traveling, enjoying with her family, especially with her 2 nephews and niece, and doing yoga and some workout.
Jessica Durand
Media Coordinator
Jessica joined Media Solutions in August and is one of the newest members of the team. As Media Coordinator, she has a supporting hand in every part of the media buying process, from initial communications with clients and vendors to reporting final campaign results. With her eye for fine details, she has contributed to the planning and reporting for several campaigns, including CalHOPE and Medicated Assisted Treatment (MAT) for the Department of Health Care Services.
Jessica was born and raised in California but has lived all over the United States with her husband who is in the Military. In her downtime, Jessica enjoys being outside hiking or relaxing on the beach with her husband and their two children.
Jason Heintz
Media Buyer
Upon graduating from Abilene Christian University with a B.A. in Advertising (and a few months in the mail room) Jason soon found a home in the Advertising & Promotions department at CBS Television City, where he fell in love with the challenges & excitement that is the advertising & media business.
Soon he and a partner launched his first venture, Access Mediaworks, a full-service Advertising & Media agency, where he learned the ins and outs of a product launch, how to promote and produce live events, and successfully concept the branding & media strategies for such regional & national clients as AT&T, Comcast, Sony, Time Warner & UMG.
In 2021, bringing over 23 years of experience along with a collection of strong local & national media relationships, Jason joined the Media Solutions team where he is embracing the opportunity to help a group of passionate, mission driven clients bring their message to an ever- evolving audience in an even more quickly evolving media landscape.
When not on a zoom call, Jason can be found hanging with his sons at the dog park, taking in a game, or reminding them who still rules the Pickleball court.
